The Borgward B2000A military truck seats nine passengers and is powered by a Borgward M24A 80hp gasoline engine and features four-wheel drive. It was tough and reliable, and was the basis for several variants.

These variants included:

• Command vehicle and troop carrier
• Communications vehicle
• Maintenance truck
• Driver training vehicle

Production of the B2000A began in 1955, and continued until 1961 with a total of 6,926 vehicles being built. The vehicle served in the Bundeswehr until 1975, when the last of them were phased out.
